As the son of a serial killer, homicide detective Thomas “Veck” DelVecchio, Jr., grew up in the shadow of evil. Now, on the knife-edge between civic duty and blind retribution, he atones for the sins of his father—while fighting his inner demons. Assigned to monitor Veck is Internal Affairs officer Sophia Reilly, whose interest in him is both professional and arousingly personal. And Veck and Sophia have another link: Jim Heron, a mysterious stranger with too many answers...to questions that are deadly. When Veck and Sophia are drawn into the ultimate battle between good and evil, their fallen angel savior is the only thing that stands between them and eternal damnation.
This is my first one of these, but that is only because I am always catching new things late. But I was so exciting seeing this. I love this series and I can't wait for book 3. Although I must say, the cover is a bit different from the others. See?
I don't know, just seems almost like it belongs to a different series. The others are dark, sexy, and badass. The new one? Not feeling badass so much or dark. Guy is cute, but not like the others for me.
But I am super excited to see Thomas DelVecchio get his own story. For those that don't know, he is a new cop added in Lover Unleashed, just came across his character yesterday. I am definitely intrigued. Release date is supposed to be September 6, 2011. Calendar has been marked. It is J.R. Ward, so cover or not, I know the words inside will be worth the money.
What do you guys think? Like the cover or they should have kept with the format?
