Okay, okay, I am a tad bit overdue. But who cares, awesome books are involved and that is all that matters. I have come across a lot of great reads last year, so making this top 11 was quite difficult. Why 11? Why not 11? LOL! But I hope you guys enjoy my top eleven because one lucky winner get their choice of anything on the list. Thank you wonderful Vagabonds for putting up with me for another year even though things have been off. Things are even crazier now and I hope you guys can put up with me for even longer. Be warned, I did cheat so it will not be just 11 books, I can't help that. Let's get this going.
11. The Foul Mouth and the Fanged Lady (The King Henry Tapes #1) and The Foul Mouth and the Cat Killing Coyotes (The King Henry Tapes #2) by Richard Raley
I loved this series. I was asked by Mr. Raley himself to review this series and I loved it. As described, it is Harry Potter meets Pulp Fiction. It is funny, wild and very unique. You have to throw out everything you have learned about the supernatural because Raley has created his own supernatural universe and I loved every minute of it.
Man, what an impact this book had on me. This book was so intense, demented and scary as hell. It was quite an adrenaline rush. Beautifully written and forces you to put yourself into frightening situations
This was a wonderful read for me. My very first YA paranormal about a mermaid, well human to become a mermaid. This read was full of mystery and adventure. The world building was incredible. I have already started book 2 and can't wait to get the review up for that one as well.
Thanks to Danielle at BookWhoreBlog, I was introduced to this wonderful New Adult series. It was such a great read, I couldn't put these down. They were action packed and full of amazing characters. I have every intention of re-reading this series once I am done with book 3.
I couldn't choose, so why not both? I loved these reads. I have heard such good things about these authors especially the Chicagoland Vampires and I am glad I did. These were very thrilling and fun Urban Fantasy reads. I have already read book 2 in the Shadow World series (review coming soon) and bought books two other in the Chicagoland Vampires series.
I loved these reads. Emotional, intense and super sexy. Both of these ladies ooze talent and I am dying for the sequels of these books.
I never thought I would love BDSM, but I do and I am glad or I would have missed out on this. There wasn't much BDSM in this book, but I am sure there will be more to come. This was an exciting read. Very sexy and thrilling. This is my first read from Jones and it sure as hell won't be my last.
Jones is easily one of my best discoveries last year. This book did everything for me and more. It was mysterious, funny as hell, and full of great characters I would love to know in real life.
This book was such a surprise. I don't read Historical Fiction all that often, but the cover and story made me grab it fomr Netgalley. I sped through this book like nothing. It was such a great read. The mystery kept me on edge until the very end. Book 2 will be out in a couple of months. I can't wait.
Finally! I have finally started Kagawa's work in 2012 and I couldn't be happier. Now I know why I always hear her name when it comes to great Young Adult reads. I love the worlds she has created. Her YA reads are smart, intense, beautifully written and full of memorable characters. Both of these I am more than glad to put on my list.
Oh man how much I looooove this series. Reisz is a freaking genius with a pen. She really knows how to grab your attention and keep it. Her characters are so versatile and in depth, it is hard for me not to love this as much as I do. When I finish one of these books, it sticks with me for a long time. Love this series. I am only now about to finish The Prince. I know it has taken forever, but things are nuts and I am only now getting things under control. Nonetheless, I am loving it so far.
