Synopsis from Goodreads

Infinity discovers a dark secret from her past that rocks everything she knows to be true.

A troubled 22-year-old superstar singer, Infinity has a bad reputation for drugs and hard partying. Now, she is on the road to a comeback with her controversial tour. But everything about doing the concert feels wrong from missing employees, to anonymous threats about ruining her career. She is dealing with a powerful corporation that is determined to kill her and everyone she loves. She is also battling for control of her life and career from a relationship that crossed the fine line between love and obsession. Infinity knows too much, even though she doesn't realize it. Secrets have been kept and these secrets are powerful enough to destroy her and everyone she loves.

Now she must put her safety and trust in the hands of sexy, tattooed and delicious Torch Channing and Boulder Vigari, hired to keep her from getting killed. Boulder wants to make her his. He won't stop until he claims her. Torch struggles with his primal need to possess her and his hatred of everything she represents.

Infinity is determined to protect her heart while dealing with the pressure of pulling off another successful tour without spiraling into another mental meltdown.

I honestly had no idea what I was in for with this book. This book throws you into quite a world and doesn't let up. The characters are a lot of fun and ooze so much personality. The first chapter alone gives you just a taste of the sort dialogue you are in. Our main character Infinity is getting a lesson from her Mom, Kara. I love the relationship between these two. They had me cracking me up. You can tell they have a great mother and daughter relationship. I had so much fun.

Infinity was an interesting lead. She is a superstar singer who has been out of the spotlight for a while. She had a horrible breakdown because she is having nightmares. These nightmares are telling her something she doesn't want to face and she was taking Rejuvenators to suppress them, Rejuvenators are cure-all pills. They get rid of any and all diseases, but they are also super expensive and the more you take, the higher you get. But she doesn't let that slow her down. She has friends that are a blast to be around. Diego and Zoe killed me. All the characters in this book put a smile on my face.

The story was great. I love the mystery of trying to uncover what Infinity is. Whatever she is, everyone wants a piece of her. I loved the build up to this. I loved all the supernatural creatures that were thrown in and what role they play in Infinity's life. I didn't see that coming, but that was well put together. I also liked the idea of Immortals controlling human beings. They create these plots to control them and their destiny.

This book is a tad bit different from the usual paranormal romance books I have read. Venez has done a great job building this world. But I will say this book was a little hard for me to get into a times. There is lingo thrown in the book, but you have no clue exactly what it is. This was probably the biggest problem in this book. Along with the lingo, there are certain plot points/paranormal creatures that could have used a little more clarification. This also works with the characters/supernatural creatures as well. We focus more on Infinity, but I would have liked a little more on everybody else. Just more on who and what they are. But to be fair, this is the first in a series. This is just getting our feet wet. Another issue, a minor one was the year. The world is set in the year 2101, but it doesn't feel futuristic with the exception of those magic pills. This isn't a complaint really, but I am just use to a more technology or more sci-fi feel. But it just feels like our world. But it was pretty cool nonetheless.

Overall, I enjoyed this. The book was fast paced and very character driven. I loved a lot of the dialogue between these characters. There are definitely some favorites in this book for me specifically Boulder. Loved him and apparently every woman in this book did as well. This book has so many awesome ideas and I can't wait to see how much further Venez can carry them. The story has quite the yqist that I couldn't believe and the cliffhanger was insane. Left my jaw dropping to the ground. Holy crap, I want more. Despite a few hinges here and there, I am hooked.

Due to the daily spam comments I have been getting lately and to avoid the annoying word verification, Anonymous comments are no more. I do not want bargains on bags, watches, jerseys, boots and other crap. Geez, they could at least spam me with book and movie stuff, I would be somewhat interested LOL! Thank you :D
