Synopsis from Goodreads

Infinite possibilities….
Infinite passion…..
Infinite danger….

His touch spirals through me, warm and sweet, wicked and hot. I shouldn’t trust him. I shouldn’t tell him my secrets. But how do I not when he is the reason I breathe? He is what I need.

At the young age of eighteen, tragedy and a dark secret force Lara to flee all she has known and loves to start a new life. Now years later, with a new identity as Amy, she’s finally dared to believe she is forgotten–even if she cannot forget. But just when she lets down her guard, the ghost’s of her past are quick to punish her, forcing her back on the run.

On a plane, struggling to face the devastation of losing everything again and starting over, Amy meets Liam Stone, a darkly entrancing recluse billionaire, who is also a brilliant, and famous, prodigy architect. A man who knows what he wants and goes after it. And what he wants is Amy. Refusing to take “no” as an answer, he sweeps her into a passionate affair, pushing her to her erotic limits. He wants to possess her. He makes her want to be possessed. Liam demands everything from her, accepting nothing less. But what if she is too devastated by tragedy to know when he wants more than she should give? And what if there is more to Liam than meets the eyes?

Escaping Reality is a story that follows a young woman named Amy. Amy is on the run. She doesn't have a past and she isn't sure about her future. But she needs to leave because someone is after her. She doesn't know the who or the when, but she must get up and leave now. When she makes it to the plane, she makes an unexpected friend. A man named Liam who is obviously rich and powerful has caught her eye. She wants to know more about him, but she knows she can't because knowing her could get him killed. Even without that though, she knows he is dangerous. He is getting to know her more than she knows herself.

Simply brilliant! Jones has done it again. This book is suspenseful, sexy and captivating. I loved trying to uncover this story and what has a 24-year-old woman running for her life like this. The story was well put together. I was intrigued from the first page. Amy is on the run for her life. Her existence is a farce. She doesn't really belong anywhere. All she knows is how to survive. It all starts with a not in the bathroom. She doesn't know who they are or what they look like, but when she sees the peculiar triangle, she knows it is time to leave her current life behind. Whoever they are, they are looking out for her and she knows she must listen to them before she is caught. She has to drop everything and leave immediately. She already has a new apartment and identity. She will now be known as Amy Bensen.

She miraculously gets a first class seat on a plane. But that one plane ride to Denver changes her more than she would think after being seated next to a gorgeous billionaire named Liam. She doesn't know what it is like to be normal and safe, but she feels that with Liam and she doesn't know why. I loved the connection they had. One look and that is all it took. I love how Liam can read her so well. He knows she is scared of something and he lets her know he isn't going anywhere to face whatever it is alone. I love how we slowly uncover things about both of them. They may seem different on the surface, but they both have things to hide. It was an exhilarating ride to say the least.

Our main character Amy is such a strong character. She is on the run for her life so she has to be. She is fighting to survive and I love that she is not in denial about how much danger she is in. I love that when she meets Liam, she thinks she can just be normal and escape with him, at least for a night. But Liam, oh my goodness Liam! I loved him. He is mysterious and sexy and too smart for his own good. He reads Amy like a book and he knows that she is in some kind of trouble within hours of meeting her. Everything he said had me melting like butter. He comes in like a knight in shining armor. But is he really? Given Amy's situation, we don't know whether we can trust Liam yet. Hell, we don't know if we can trust anyone in this book. This story will make you paranoid as hell. I was suspicious of everyone and everything because we don't know anything. Who is after Amy? Why do they want her? What happened in her past to make them chase her? What do her parents have to do with it? It was exciting. It was impossible for me to put this book down.

This book is beautifully written and wonderfully paced. Uncovering the mystery was like a slow burn. The book is very sexy and captivating. The way the story reveals itself was incredible. Jones will keep you on the edge of your seat. Liam and Amy share some fantastic mouthwatering scenes together. I love that Liam truly seemed like he cared about Amy. It was such a great thing to witness because she even says with him, she doesn't feel like she has to face the world alone. I love how Amy thinks of more than just herself as well. She wants to try and push Liam away because being with her would put him in danger due to who is after her. Even with that kind of weight on her shoulders, she doesn't break.

Like I said, this book is simply brilliant. Jones is a powerhouse of a writer. She knows how to really reel you in and get you into the head of her characters. You feel the chaos they are going through and the relief they feel when it is all over. This isn't your run-of-the-mill rich guy saves damsel in distress story either. This book went places I didn't see coming and they are still places left unexplored. This book is 240 pages long and it still seemed too short. You will try to breeze through it because you will be dying to know what happens next. The sequel truly can't get here fast enough. Definitely a favorite of 2013! Jones has done it again.

Due to the daily spam comments I have been getting lately and to avoid the annoying word verification, Anonymous comments are no more. I do not want bargains on bags, watches, jerseys, boots and other crap. Geez, they could at least spam me with book and movie stuff, I would be somewhat interested LOL! Thank you :D
