Synopsis from Goodreads

No one knows my secret. Ever since high school, ever since I started living in fear, no one has known the true me. But then I met him, and I couldn't hide anymore. He became my hero, saving me from the villain of my past. He became my friend, his smile a blanket of warmth. And he scared me. Because he, this beautiful man, he might become more. Then he'd see the real me, and I couldn't let that happen.

My name is Winter, and what I desire most I can't have.

Flashes of the night I was drugged rush back to me. His strong arms carrying me through the streets of Paris. The feel of his heart beating as my head rested against his chest. The soft press of his lips against my forehead when he thought I was asleep.

Oh shit. I'm falling for the cowboy. Cade.

But we can't be anything more. He has his own secrets. His own darkness he keeps hidden, like the letter he keeps with him everywhere he goes. The letter he refuses to open.

Kiss Me in Paris is a story about a young woman named Winter. She wants to be a romance writer, but seems to be shot down by everyone who critiques her work. She decides to take a summer program in France because what better way to learn about love than in Paris. We also follow a young man named Cade. He is a country boy who knows he doesn't belong in the farm for the rest of his life. His father thinks his love for architecture won't take him anywhere and that he abandoning the family business. Cade wants to know all there is to know about architecture and where better to learn than in Paris? Winter and Cade hit it off quickly and become friends quickly. But that changes when they both notice they have feelings for each other. Problem is, will this be just a summer romance doomed from the start or can there be more even with their demons?

First things first, give me a moment to drool over the cover. It is gorgeous. I am happy to say that the book is just as gorgeous as its cover. This is going on my favorites list of 2013, it just has to. I loved this a lot. I am in love with this amazing husband/wife duo. They have major talent and it shows in spades in this book. I will be reading this again while waiting for book 2. So happy this is a series because I want more Winter and Cade.

I loved this story. I liked that the story splits between Cade and Winter. I always like getting things from both perspectives. To me, it just adds another special element to the book. We see that Cade and Winter really want to start their own journeys, but they both have a lot of things holding them back. Cade has issues with his dad and just his family overall. Something tragic has happened in his family that has destroyed them. On top of that, Cade's dad feels like Cade is slapping the family in the face by leaving. Winter would love to be a New York Times bestseller in the world of romance. The problem is she has never experienced love and she doesn't want to. Something happened to her that has turned her off of the idea of love. They learn to trust each other even though they won't see each other when the summer is over. They don't want to get in the way of each others' careers.

I loved Winter and Cade together and apart. Winter was a bit of a goofball and I loved that. You don't see that much in books. She is someone I know I would be friends with. I loved Cade. My goodness, he was perfect. I usually don't go for the cowboy types, but I may change that if they are anything like Cade. We also had Winter's best friend Jenifer. I wasn't sure about her. She makes some pretty stupid decisions (especially in one scene that made me flip. Unbelievable!). But she was a good friend to Winter despite her decisions and I ended up loving her in the end. I loved the connection between these characters and their dialogue. They had me crying one minutes and laughing until I lost my breathe the next. There are some pretty funny and memorable scenes in this book that I think a lot of people will enjoy. Just know Winter and public bathrooms don't mix.

This book was so well-written. The character development was great and the story was well paced. Once I started this book, I just couldn't put it down. I loved trying to get down to the mystery of these characters and what demons they are hiding. There will be tears people, so get some tissues. I just can't wait to see which sister we will follow next. I can't wait for more from Kinrade and Karpov. It will be worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Due to the daily spam comments I have been getting lately and to avoid the annoying word verification, Anonymous comments are no more. I do not want bargains on bags, watches, jerseys, boots and other crap. Geez, they could at least spam me with book and movie stuff, I would be somewhat interested LOL! Thank you :D
