Synopsis from Goodreads

“All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… fucked up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs make a right."

Tess is Q’s completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.

He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster.

I am so drained right now. This book, scratch that, this series has wrung my heart bone dry. Goodness gracious, I don't know how I am going to put this all into words. I was head over heels for Tears of Tess and I am even more in love with this series now. Winters not only knows how to torture her unforgettable characters, but her fans as well.

This book takes place four days after the last book. This time around the book is from both Tess's and Q's point of views, which I really like. I like that we can finally get into Q's head. He is so complex and can change with the flick of a switch, so knowing what he is thinking was a great experience for me. We see that Tess and Q are both adjusting to their new lifestyles. They both want so much from one another, but have no idea if they can do it. I love that we see how they are both fighting for control, but for very different reasons. The book starts off very steamy and I loved it. This book started off making me an emotional wreck and left me more of an emotional wreck. I have no idea how I or my ovaries survived.
Q can't believe that Tess returned to him. He knows in his gut he will destroy her, but Tess knows there is good in him. She will make him see it no matter how far he goes and he intends to go very far with her. He has nightmares of actually killing her. He wants to pull away from her, but she won't let him and he knows he won't survive without her. I love that this book really focused on their unconventional romance.

But that focus quickly changes though. Winters has other things in mind for us. While the book does a great job focusing on Tess and Q, the book will throw things at you that will knock you senseless. I can't even begin to describe where Winters will take you. Like I said, she is torturing us and I love her all the more for it. You will be so engulfed in this, I doubt you will come up for air. I know I didn't. You thought Tears of Tess was insane, trust me, you don't even know the meaning of the word yet until you finished this.

Quintessentially Q is much darker than the first book. Winters has pushed the limit just a bit more and it was amazing. The struggles, the battles, the pain, an the turmoil in this book, both internal and external, will take you to some dark places. This book is sexy beyond belief and twisted as hell. You will be at the edge of your seat from beginning to end, all for different reasons. I really wish I can tell you what goes down, but I won't ruin it for you guys. But it is crazy. Winters is definitely one of my new favorite authors. Her style, her incredibly lovable yet damaged characters and the world she has built for us is just too hard not love. Make sure you read this and Tears of Tess, if you haven't. This series is a must read.
About Pepper Winters

Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex… her books have sex.

She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby who puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends.

Her debut book Tears of Tess will be followed with Quintessentially Q. You didn’t think Q could stop so soon, did you? Her other two titles, Last Shadow and Broken Chance will be coming soon.

Due to the daily spam comments I have been getting lately and to avoid the annoying word verification, Anonymous comments are no more. I do not want bargains on bags, watches, jerseys, boots and other crap. Geez, they could at least spam me with book and movie stuff, I would be somewhat interested LOL! Thank you :D
