Synopsis from Goodreads

For seventeen-year-old Candra Lowell, senior year is supposed to be the time of her life. It’s not supposed to include being shipped off to her aunt and uncle’s house for 'her own good'. Whatever that means. There’s only bad news from this experience—when she learns she’ll go from human to werewolf in a few months. Complete with an inherited unique power.

At her aunt and uncle's house, Candra is plagued with nightmares of a whispering forest and glowing eyes, and a shadowy figure, who issues a warning—she needs to leave town. Candra tries to dismiss the haunting images, but when the shadowy figure appears outside of her home, Candra realizes she should've obeyed.

Candra learns the meaning of the stalker’s warnings when she discovers she’s the new favorite target of a rival pack. She isn't just a werewolf—she's a werewolf in the middle of a feud that makes the Montagues and Capulets look like best friends. She’s also made a mess of things by falling for her sworn enemy. Worse, the rival pack wants the power Candra will receive on her eighteenth birthday. To protect her family and friends, Candra can’t run or hide; she must face her foes, even if it means death.

Silver Moon follows a young woman named Candra. Candra is always getting into a lot of trouble. Her parents don't know what else to do except to send her to live with her aunt and uncle, Randy and Beth. Candra feels hurt and abandoned, but her mom assures her it is for her own good. Little does she know that there is more to her unexpected visit then she thought. Her life in a new town is not a typical thing for the average teen. She has been having these strange dreams and gets manhandled by two boys at her school. Candra now knows she is at the center of a centuries-old war and her appearance in town has escalated problems. Candra will do whatever it takes to end this feud or she may lose all she loves.

I love Young Adult reads and this one really hit it on the head. I loved how this story flowed. It slowly reels you in page by page. Rogers definitely knows how to build some mystery, let me tell you. The plot was incredible. I found myself engulfed in the story. From the get go Candra is experiencing some strange things. There are yellow eyes staring at her in the forest behind her aunt and uncle's house. Her nightmares seem to be warning her about something, but she doesn't know what.  I love Rogers' writing style. She keeps you in a constant state of suspense. You have pretty good ideas here and there, but you find there is much more to the story then you would think. You really don't know where the story will go.

The characters were a lot of fun. Candra felt like a real teenager. You have met girls like her sometime in your life. I loved her spunky ways and I loved that she just marched to the best of her own drum, no matter if it got her in trouble or not. Her stubbornness may be he end of her, but she will try to do what others have not done. She has a connection of some kind to a guy named Benjamin (Ben). Problem is his family can't stand her family. Candra finds out she is a werewolf and her powers won't kick in until she is eighteen. Ben's family is power hungry and they want her power. Ben, however, doesn't seem like his family. He seems to be on her side even though everyone is telling her it is all an act. So you don't know whether he is trustworthy or not. I love the whole Romeo and Juliet feel here. There isn't any big romance in this book, but it is brewing, that is for sure.

I also enjoyed Jana and Blake. They are basically the only friends Candra makes at the new school. They know a lot of secrets in their town and try to keep a low profile. Ben's family have a big problem with people who side with Candra's family especially if they are human. I also enjoyed Randy and Beth. It is nice seeing actual parent/guardians in a YA book. I don't know what it is, but in most of the ones I have read, parents are almost nonexistent. I loved that they were understanding towards Candra. There were times I thought they would flip on Candra while on one of her "journeys", but they loved her curiosity. Not to mention it was hard for them to talk about things given the weight on the family's shoulders. they don't know what will happen when Candra turns eighteen, but they know the road ahead won't be easy.

I really enjoyed this read. I did have a couple of issues here and there. The character of Ali (who was seemingly Ben's girlfriend) sort of evaporated out of the story. I don't like cattiness or anything, but I would have liked to have seen some kind of conflict there. Ali definitely had some kind of issue with Candra, but is it about Ben or something else? We don't know. I hope we get to learn what was or is going on there. Also the end was a bit odd. Not bad or anything, but it just sort of ends.  There isn't a lot of action in the book, so I thought that was where things were going to start getting explosive a bit. But no, that was just the end of this book. But to be fair, this is just book 1. It looks like it will run right into book 2 which will be great to see.

If you are looking for an awesome Young Adult read, I would recommend this to you. It has great characters that I can't wait to see more of. The story is very intriguing. It will be very easy to get lost in this book. I am always up for werewolves and shapeshifters and this book gave me a great taste of that. I can't wait to see where this goes. I am very anxious to say the least because I think we have only scratched the surface, Definitely worth checking out.

Excerpt

Rated Adults-only, 18+

Retreat. She must retreat before it consumed her, this darkness. She had enough darkness of her own to contend with. Reluctant tears pooled beneath her closed eyelids and her throat tightened, hurting her. The poor dear man.
Stupid, stubborn, and with a soul-deep suffering that would take more than a flash of her power to heal. Her safest option was to leave here now and seek out someone else who would benefit from her endless experience. Someone who would welcome her assistance. Someone who would be unable to resist her potent brand of desire. Someone who would ease this incessant physical ache in her womb as it squeezed tight, reminding her of its hunger.
There were…she concentrated. Yes. Several candidates within a mile of here who would welcome her with open arms. Several hundred, if she expanded her search. A billion lonely souls, calling out for her guidance and her love, if she wanted to abandon this moment and this man.
But did she? How could she leave him like this? So hurt, so…enraged. How could she justify walking away from that level of pain? Walking away would give truth to the nagging anxiety that her heart really had disappeared down a deep dark hole.
Perhaps I really have forgotten how to love. Heartless, or helpful? It is up to me to make that decision. I can choose, right now. One path. Or the other.
The night breeze crept across her skin like a sign from some of the gods, and in that moment she knew that Hephaestus was not laughing. Neither was Ares. The deformed god of blacksmiths and volcanoes, her one-time husband Heph who had been treated horribly at her hands, and her powerful lover Ares, god of war himself, both had hearts bigger than that of the goddess of love. She could feel their well-wishes in this quest to rediscover her essence.
Laughter began to bubble even as tears dribbled down her cheeks. When she flicked out her tongue to the side and caught one of them, the taste of the sea filled her mouth. Salt. A symbol of truth in some religions on this earth. There was no choice really, in the end. Immortality was a bitch if you had to live too long with self-loathing.

Synopsis from Goodreads
An erotic romance with a difference, focusing on gender identity as the key theme. It features a post-surgery, male-to-female transsexual struggling to define her identity as a woman in a world that stigmatizes anyone outside the mainstream.

A modern-day transsexual woman and an ancient Greek god of desire is an unusual pairing, but the power of Aphrodite works in the most mysterious ways.

Blurb:

A woman with a secret past: Gina is forced to confront her painful past when she attends a high school reunion. Born with male genitalia, she spent her childhood and teen years living as a boy, and has only now returned in an effort to put the past behind her, so she can begin to live her life without the continuing fear of loneliness and rejection.

A god of sexual desire on the edge of burnout: Himeros is one of the erotes, an aspect of Eros, and as such it is his duty to answer the call of sexual desire whenever a human needs him. But he has been living among mortals too long and his interest has waned. When he decides to accept one last call he finds a woman who is unique. A woman who encapsulates the whole human experience in her body, and her soul. Has he finally found the one with whom even a god of desire could find fulfillment?
After all, forever is such a long time to be alone.

Aphrodite Calling is the second in the Gods of Love series of stand-alone novellas featuring the erotes (aspects of Eros) as a common theme. The series began with the Best Book of 2011 nominated Platinum Passion (Gods of Love #1).

Extended description:
Ella has been in love with her best friend Kade for as long as they’ve known each other. But her love has not been returned, and when the bisexual Kade ends a relationship without showing any signs of becoming romantic towards her, she decides to call a halt on her unrequited love and try something new by accepting an invitation to a celebrated Melbourne sex club.

Kade is furious when the woman he is beginning to see as more than a friend decides to visit Secrets before he can tell her how he feels. Has one of the gods of love finally taken on a challenge he cannot fulfill?

Each of the GODS OF LOVE stories are designed as stand-alone novellas, but are united with a common theme: the erotes. In this version of the erotes’ myth, my gods of love are the children of Aphrodite and aspects of the primal god of desire – Eros. Each of these gorgeous gods has a role in modern day society – answering the call of desire and interacting with people in need.

Synopsis from Goodreads
How do you survive the internship from hell?

Don't fall in love.

Ivy thought being a reporter-in-training at the Independent Gazette would be her dream summer job. Little did she know, interviewing Eric, a landscaper with a heart of gold, would derail her plans. It turns out Ivy's boss, Lauren, has been eying his chiseled physique for quite some time.

But at twenty-four, Eric already has a tragic past, one that he is still reeling from. Even though his ordeal turned him into some sort of local celebrity, it's been a while since he's shared his bed with anyone. When he comes to Ivy's rescue out of the blue, it's not long before the two of them start seeing each other behind Lauren's back. When they get caught, Ivy's journey toward a college degree is jeopardized and her relationship with Eric is severely put to the test.

Career versus love? In the end, a shocking turn of events provides Ivy with a revelation she never saw coming.
*********************************************
Take Me Now is a New Adult Romance that follows a young woman named Ivy. Ivy wants to become a journalist and has landed a summer job at a local newspaper. Ivy is very excited until she meets her boss Lauren, who may be the devil. Lauren sends Ivy on her first job and meets a guy named Eric she can't quite get out of her head. This one meeting is about to change her life completely. There are things at play that her and Eric can't see and may destroy them.
I knew I was going to be in for a treat when I started this, but I wish someone warned me of the roller coaster ride this book was going to send me on. Ivy was an intriguing female lead. She is a college student who wants to have a career as a journalist. She will do whatever her boss, Lauren, tells her to so she can move to the main campus. After her run in with a man named Eric, she knows she wants to see more of him. Problem is, her boss Lauren also has the hots for him. Eric can't stand Lauren because he knows she is a parasite. He has lost his wife and unborn child due to cancer. He has become a bit of a hermit after their deaths and can't even see himself with another woman. Lauren wants a story on Eric that he doesn't want to give, but Ivy will do her best to stick to his wishes. Lauren, of course, takes advantage of this.
I loved Eric. I immediately fell for him and I know a lot of others will as well. His story was very sad. Out of all the characters, he was the only one that had a real backstory. I wish there was more for the other characters, specifically Ivy. I did love them, but I just wanted to know more about them. Lauren was insane. I have seen many horror movies, I love them. But nothing has scared me quite as much as Lauren. She is manipulative and maniacal. Then there is the man Will. Will is someone Ivy has been crazy about since she was elementary school. But it seems like he is always using her, but she knows it. I was a little upset with Ivy with her reaction to Will. I know we girls can lose our minds over a guy, but Will will make you lose your dignity. I wanted to reach in and smack some sense into her. She is a smart and independent woman. But the way Will treats her makes her feel worthless. it was scary to see.
I loved all that Sullivan put into this short read. In 180 pages, she gave us lies, deceit, drama and much more. I won't spoil this for you, but just know that Lauren is not your average boss. She has her agenda and so does Will. It was very interesting seeing how this played out. I knew something was brewing, but I had no idea. I loved the instant connection between Eric and Ivy. I know some people may not be fans, but I really wanted to see Eric happy after all that has happened to him. I really felt sorry for him. He doesn't feel like he can trust anything after the love of his life has died. There are many moments when he and Ivy get so stubborn about something they saw, they never stop to think if there is more to it. This is especially during a scene between Lauren and Eric. The way Ivy acted drove me nuts. Her and Eric knew Lauren had something up her sleeve, she should have known there was more to it. But then again, given how the other characters in the book treated her, maybe she was justified.
As much as I liked this, I do have a couple of gripes. As already mentioned, more backstory would be nice. I am head over heels for these characters, but I would just like to know more. There were times when we got information that was a bit of news to me that I wish I knew earlier. For instance, the character of Ryan, Lauren's stepbrother. Now segueing into my next issue, Ryan. There is a scene in this book that I couldn't believe. I never would have thought it would happen. But what happened afterward had me even more confused. What Ivy does after the incident made no sense to me. Where is the outrage? Where is the fight? I mean, do something. I mean, I understand about his age, but that doesn't mean he should get off. He does get his just desserts from Eric (sort of), but he doesn't know the full extent of everything yet though.

I really enjoyed this book. It had me reeling and screaming at it one moment and smiling in the next. Eric was fantastic. I loved his passion and sensitivity. This does raise one big problem near the end of the book (man that was an intense scene), but I loved him. I am dying for more of this world Sullivan has given us. I just know there is more. This book is just to get your feet wet, so you won't get absolutely everything. If you want a quick read with one hell of a story, this is the perfect choice.

Synopsis from Christina Jean Michaels
“I had my first psychic dream when I was nine. Psychic implied power, and powerful wasn’t a word I’d use to describe myself. I couldn’t foretell the future or conjure visions at will, but I couldn’t think of a more fitting word to describe what I sometimes saw in my dreams.”

For 23-year-old Mackenzie Hill, tossing her life down the garbage disposal is easy after a painful incident shatters her life. Her heart is bleeding, and moving to Watcher’s Point is a chance to start anew, only she isn’t prepared for the guy who walks out of her dreams and into the flesh. Literally . . . because she’s been dreaming about this sexy stranger for years.

Mackenzie is even less prepared to face the dark nature of her dreams. They’ve turned disturbingly gruesome, full of blood and murder, and when they begin to coincide with the media’s headlines, she and Aidan realize her visions might be the key to stopping a madman from killing again.

Excerpt
He squeezed my hand. “You’re safe with me.”
“I know.” I hesitated, thinking of the one thing I wanted. The only thing I needed. “Will you hold me?”
He let out a breath. “God yes. C’mere.” He folded me in his arms, and I buried my face in the crook of his shoulder. His skin was warm against my cheek, his scent calmingly familiar; I’d breathed him in countless times in my dreams—now he just smelled like home.
“For months I tried to forget. When I moved here, I stopped thinking about it all the time.” I didn’t think about it at all anymore.
“Something like that is never completely forgotten.” He combed his fingers through my hair. “Who hurt you?”
“It doesn’t matter.”
“It matters to me.”
But he didn’t press the issue. We sat in that position for a long time, his chest moving in rhythm with mine. I welcomed the silence—interrupted only by the soft showering of rain against the bedroom window.
There was no kissing, no shedding of clothes; it was just the two of us holding on as if the alternative was unthinkable. Time ceased to exist. We could have stayed frozen like that forever and it still wouldn’t have been long enough.
My eyes drifted shut eventually. I vaguely remembered him carrying me to bed, recalled reaching for him when he tried to leave. He settled behind me, wrapping me in the safety of his arms, and for the first time in what seemed like forever, the dreams were absent. And I slept.
