Synopsis from Goodreads

Colin Hoskins, famous classical violinist, is tainted by his past. Angry at life, unable to move beyond the betrayal of his dead fiancé, he’s sworn off performing or falling in love ever again. All Colin wants is to be left alone, except no one listens. Especially the pretty little assistant he can’t fire and his body burns to claim.

Stranded in a foreign country, bankrupted heiress Ariel Parks needs a job to fund her way home. Assistant of sorts to the musician she’s fantasized about for years sounds like a dream job. She never imagined the gorgeous genius would be a reclusive beast. But the real problem is the way every nerve in her body tingles at the mention of his name.

Ariel's Song follows a woman named Ariel. She is a bit down on her luck. She is used to having a lot of money being an heiress and all. But she finds herself bankrupt since it seems her brother has cleaned them out. She desperately needs a job or she will be homeless is a country she doesn't know that well. She decides that she wants to be an assistant to one of her favorite musicians, Colin. It would be a dream job to work for her dream man. That dream is quickly crushed when Colin is not the man she thought he was. He is angry and wants nothing but to be left alone. He is reluctant about hiring an assistant, but he does because his friend knows he needs the motivation. They both start having feelings for each other that they don't know how to face.

Wow, now that was an intense read. I couldn't put this down for a second. I really liked Ariel. She used to be a very rich girl, but she finds out that her brother stole from her family. He is now missing and she is worried about him. She knows he is in trouble and she wants to understand why he did what he did to their family. Her finding an assisting job with her favorite musician is the greatest thing ever. Not only because she is a fan, but because this means she won't be homeless. But the musician Colin sure as hell won't make it easy. Colin starts off as a very bitter man. I didn't like him at first, but that quickly changes. He has been in the news and accused of killing the woman he loved a couple of years ago. He has lost the passion to create music and his friend and manager wants him to get him back on track. I did like that Colin and Ariel were very attracted to each other, but Colin needed to get past his demons first. I loved seeing his progression through the book and Ariel was a big part of that.

I loved Colin's friend and manager, Logan. He convinces Colin to hire Ariel and Logan also befriends Ariel. I loved how helpful he was for the both of them. I loved the chemistry between Ariel and Logan as well. Colin is starting to have feelings for her, but he is still quite bitter. His anger gets the best of him when it comes Logan and Ariel's friendship. His anger gets the best of him quite a bit in this book. But trust me, you will love him in this book.

Colin is apprehensive about Ariel working for him. He wants to be left alone and hates that she is around especially since he is starting to feel something for her. I loved seeing their relationship grow and how much he sees Ariel is helping him get back to the man he was. I couldn't put this book down. I loved every minute of it. I knew this would be focused on Colin and the death of his girlfriend. But I didn't expect so much mystery though. There is so much more going on behind Colin' back then he realizes. The villain was quite a surprise. I was strongly leaning on one person in particular, but it definitely switched on me. There is also the story of what is going on with Ariel's brother. I would have loved to have more on this in the book.

This is a fantastic read. I loved this book a lot. Not only are Colin and Ariel amazing, but there are side characters that are just as interesting one including Colin's sister, Julienne. I hope we get her story next. This book was short and super sexy. Knight really knows how to turn up the heat. The story was fun and engaging. The dialogue was great. I wish the book was longer so we could have gotten more. This is a great read that you will love.

Due to the daily spam comments I have been getting lately and to avoid the annoying word verification, Anonymous comments are no more. I do not want bargains on bags, watches, jerseys, boots and other crap. Geez, they could at least spam me with book and movie stuff, I would be somewhat interested LOL! Thank you :D
