Synopsis from Jennifer Chance

Jennifer Chance unleashes her hot new series with the tale of a smoldering rocker and the fangirl who catches his eye—and finds herself living out her wildest dreams.

Lacey Dawes is a total pro at the talent agency where she works, and it doesn’t hurt that IMO Worldwide Media represents Dante Falcone. The rock god has starred in her fantasies since she was sixteen—and remains her secret crush to this day. So when Dante picks her to be the interim manager on his Dream It tour, Lacey can’t believe her luck. Handling Dante is sure to be the most exquisite, spine-tingling, nerve-wracking mix of business and pleasure ever.

Although Dante is grateful for the adoring fans who scream for one more of his full-throttle, soul-searing songs, being surrounded by a cadre of corporate types backstage is wearing thin. Then Lacey shows up. Yeah, she’s organized, smart, quick to get him what he wants before he knows he wants it—but Dante senses there’s something else going on with sweet, sexy Lacey. One kiss tells him what that “something” might be . . . and makes him hungry for more.

Either Way, You’re Screwed

Why can’t I find a rock star to hang out with me for a weekend?” Anna moaned. “I can’t even find an ordinary guy to go out on a date with me.”
Lacey shot Anna a rueful glance. It was already June, and Anna was locked into being a bridesmaid at the mother of all society weddings at month’s end. Normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, but Anna had been working the story of an imaginary boyfriend for so long, even Lacey forgot that the sexy lover who was Anna’s constant excuse for missing weekend trips, evening parties, or pretty much anything more than a text exchange with her work and college pals wasn’t a real, live, flesh-and-blood man. But now Anna was going to have to produce said man to keep her tenaciously matchmaking friends from hooking her up with some loser at the upcoming wedding, and that . . . was going to be a trick. Since, you know, the guy didn’t exist.
Dude, you haven’t even really looked for a date,” Dani pointed out now, drawing a scowl from Anna. “I keep offering to set you up at the bar, but you’re always working. Like night and day and night again. Makes it kind of hard to get busy.”
Busy is not what I need,” Anna grumbled. “I just need a date, not anything more.” Then she perked up, flashing Lacey a grin. “Besides, Lacey is going to be ‘busy’ enough for all of us. Because she’s going on tour. With a rock star. Who looks like he’d just as soon rip her clothes off as talk to her.”
Oh, please,” Lacey said, feeling the blood rush into her cheeks again, her heart doing a happy little stutter step. “Dante is not interested in having sex with me.”
For the barest moment, all of the air seemed to get sucked out of the brownstone’s kitchen. Then it whooshed back with three women dissolving into abject gales of laughter.
You’ve got to be kidding—”
Did you see the way he looked—”
Girl, you’re not going to get out of the parking lot, let alone the city—”
Enough!” Lacey held up a hand to stay the onslaught. “This isn’t about me hooking up, okay? This is my job we’re talking about here. If it got out that I slept with a client—that I so much as have a crush on my client—my reputation would be absolutely shredded. For every moment of this fourteen-day tour, I’ve got to play blue-ribbon babysitter to a guy who could make or break my career. I can’t afford to screw up.” Lacey shook her head. “And I can’t afford to screw him.”
Dani leaned back against the kitchen table, lifting up the last steaming pastry from Anna’s early-morning bakeathon. “Then it looks like either way you’re screwed, sweetheart.”

About Jennifer Chance

I come by romance honestly, having spent several years writing adult romance and entering romance contests through Romance Writers of America–including finaling twice in the prestigious Golden Heart contest and winning once. But despite these and other contest wins, my first published novel came not in adult romance, but as a writer of YA historical fiction (you can read all about my Elizabethan spy girls stories, the Maids of Honor, here.)

Still, despite my love of Elizabethan spies, I could never quite give up those super Alpha contemporary romance heroes. So, in the summer of 2013, I decided to see if perhaps I might still have a romance or two up my sleeve.

I wrote a tale about a girl whose biggest high-school and college crush–a rock star–suddenly becomes her biggest client, only now she has to be professional and not betray the fact that she’s completely in love with the guy. It was a fun, sexy, romantic fantasy, and I suggested the idea to my agent… who asked what other ideas I had in addition to this story. Shortly after, the Rule Breakers series was born.

To separate these books from my historical work, I adopted the name Jennifer Chance. I am now pursuing my dreams (pretty much round the clock as it turns out) and am THRILLED to be able to have four e-books coming out in 2014 and early 2015, all with Random House LoveSwept’s New Adult romance line.

As to what will happen from here, who knows? But as long as there is a story to be written and an HEA to be had, I’ll be the one over in the corner, tapping away on my keyboard.

The Care and Feeding of Sex Demons Blog Tour - Spotlight + Guest Post: The Care and Feeding of Sex Demons (Sex Demon 101 #1) by Angela Fiddler

Author: Angela Fiddler
Series: Sex Demon 101
Number in Series: 1
Release Date: January 13, 2014
Publisher: Loose Id LLC

 Genre: Erotic Romance/GLBT/Paranormal Romance
Presented by: Pump Up Your Book

Synopsis from Angela Fiddler

Keeping a sex demon happy and well satisfied is always the safest option, even if you have your own relationship issues. When saving the world on a regular basis, a happy home is very important.

Cy’s job as an apocalypse stopper isn’t an easy one at the best of times, but with the help of his weird family, he survives. Sure, he sneaks out every once and a while to watch August, his sex demon, feed, but he loves and is committed to Patrick, his fae prince lover, even if it means giving up the anal penetrative sex he loves and Patrick has issues with.

All adult relationships are based on compromise. It's just that most don’t require having sex with a sex demon to keep him alive and non-murder-y at the same time as you're trying to quit your job to save the world on your own time.

GUEST POST

10 Things You Don't Know About Me As An Author

1) The moment I started seriously rewriting my prose instead of trying to just clean up the existing words on the page, I started selling my work.

2) I have been writing m/m erotica for as long as I have been writing. I would have one file with the suitable for all ages story and another file full of erotica. The early stories were anatomically inaccurate to say the least.

3) I learned more about good writing reading unpublished fiction than I ever did through published work. A published book has dozens of fingers in it to make it be at a professional level. I learned as much from other people’s mistakes as I did my own.

4) I avoid the muddle in the middle by not writing middles of books. I start at the beginning of the beginning, then write the end of the beginning, then write the beginning of the end, and then write end of the end.

5) I love romantic shmoop. I want my characters to be heads-over-heels in love with each other even if there are very real and serious reasons why they shouldn’t be together. The tiny moments between characters that show that they are deeply in love thrills me.

6) I think stories should be like loose slot machines that give frequent emotional payouts. I watch my wife’s face when she reads. When she smiles a certain way, I know she’s responding to the text. These payouts should be throughout the book.

7) My first erotica novel, Castoffs, was written because a friend of mine wanted gay vampires, bdsm and kneeling. That pretty much sums up the entire Master of the Lines series. I added silver-tipped canes.

8) I have a friend who names all of my books because my working titles are usually quite ridiculous. No one would pick up an erotica called ZOMG, ZOMBIES!!! It’s now Pulse. The only books that made it through the process without changing their working title were Cy Gets a Sex Demon and The Care and Feeding of Sex Demons.

9) I strongly believe that no matter how dark the scene is, there is always room for snark. Also, no matter how fluffy the scene is, there is always room for snark.

10) I think that there is never a plot problem big enough that can’t be made worse. When writing Coda, I was writing to deadline. I wrote my character into a corner. He had abdicated all his power and possessions, broken up with his lover and surrendered himself to the bad guy’s possession. At the three quarter mark Vision was chained from the ceiling in the bad guy’s warehouse without hope. How characters pick themselves up again after losing everything interests me.

About Angela Fiddler

Angela Fiddler was born and raised in northern Alberta. She began writing smut at a very early (legal) age, and has written more than her share of slash fiction in her life. She started her Master of the Lines series when shewrote Castoffs for a darling friend who requested a birthday present involving hot, gay, kinky vampires. The novel practically wrote itself. When she’s not following the exploits of hot vampires, she writes epic fantasy and has had several short stories published.
